🌿 Why We’re a Fan Favorite
Just like a perfectly executed double play, the Charleston Tea Garden is a local masterpiece. Nestled on 127 acres of historic Wadmalaw Island, our farm is home to over 320 varieties of the Camellia Sinensis tea plant.
While the RiverDogs are busy hitting home runs, we’re busy crafting our American Classic Tea. It’s 100% grown right here in the Lowcountry- a true taste of American pride that you won’t find anywhere else in the world.

The Trolley Tour: Our "Highlight Reel" Hop aboard our trolley for a scenic journey through the lush tea fields. Our expert guides will give you the play-by-play on how tea is grown and even show you the "rookie" tea bushes in our greenhouse.

The Factory Tour: See the Stats Ever wonder how those leaves become the brew in your cup? Our tourway and big-screen TVs overlooking the factory, give you a front-row seat to the tea-making process.

The Gift Shop & Porch Relax on our porch with a cold glass of tea—the perfect "extra innings" activity. Don't forget to grab some American Classic Tea to take home!
📍 Scouting Report: Plan Your Visit
- Location: 6617 Maybank Hwy, Charleston, SC 29487 (A scenic drive off Maybank Highway!)
- Hours: Monday – Saturday: 10:00 am – 4:00 pm Sunday: 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm
- Dog Policy: We love furry fans! Leashed pets are welcome in the garden, though only service animals can join the Trolley Tour or enter the Gift Shop.
⚠️ A Note on "Away Game" Logistics (Rideshare): While we’re easy to get to, we are tucked away in the beautiful countryside. We do not recommend using rideshare apps (Uber/Lyft) to visit. It is very difficult to secure a ride back to Charleston once you are here. Please ensure you have your own transportation or a confirmed return trip before heading out!
