Weddings & Events at the Charleston Tea Garden

Filled with Southern charm and historic beauty, the Charleston Tea Garden is the perfect venue for your event. Whether you're planning a wedding, family reunion, birthday celebration or other family event, there is no other setting that can provide you such charming and unique surroundings. If you're looking for a Charleston wedding venue, having your wedding here will provide both you and your guests with an unbelievably memorable experience. The grounds of the Garden are the perfect setting, with endless rows of Camelia Sinensis tea plants and huge, incomparable Oak Trees. 

The Trolleys are available for shuttling your guests around our 127 acre grounds. The Trolleys can also transport the bride and her bridal party to the wedding location, providing for a grand entrance to the big event.

Event Locations

The Wedding Tree

You can choose to have your ceremony under the draping branches of the Garden's oldest Live Oak, known as the "wedding tree" or in a more open location, surrounded by acres and acres of breathtaking tea plants.

The Grove

The Grove is such a naturally beautiful setting. Every aspect of the grounds will lend to the beauty of your wedding day. Even the entrance to the Grove is unbelievably enchanting with its draping Oaks forming an almost perfect archway welcoming your guests into this outdoor wedding venue in Charleston.

Garden Porch

Surrounded by picturesque live oak trees, the front porch of the Garden gift Shoppe can accommodate a dinner, cocktail reception or buffet. 48" Square tables can be used to comfortably seat 64 people or 60" rounds could be used to accommodate about 56.

Tea Pavilion

Our Pavilion, located in the tranquil tea fields, can be configured to your specifications to ensure the success of your event. The Pavilion can accommodate roughly 112 people at 48" square tables or 80 at 60" rounds.  Also, the area surrounding can easily be tented to create additional covered space for your guests.

The Trolleys

The Trolleys are also available for shuttling guests around the Garden or giving a tour through the tea fields. If desired, these tours can be incorporated into your event, making it not only a fun and enjoyable occasion for all, but also a one-of-a-kind educational experience!
