Over 100 years ago, tea planters brought their finest ancestral tea bushes from China and India to Wadmalaw Island near the historic old city of Charleston, South Carolina. Now the direct descendants of these very plants have been lovingly restored to their former grandeur here at the Charleston Tea Garden, a lush subtropical tea farm. It is in this context of great natural beauty and colonial pride that we bring you Charleston Tea Garden Wadmalaw Green Tea made from 100% tea grown at America's own tea garden. Wadmalaw Island Green Tea is carefully crafted to be America's unique and refreshing version of a classic, centuries-old beverage.

Great Green Tea

Charleston Tea Garden has the best loose Green Tea. I love the convenience of the pouch, I only wish it was biodegradable or recyclable.

I love this tea! It tastes so clean and fresh. My only regret is I also wish it came in decaf. I enjoy drinking it knowing it's grown right here in South Carolina, USA. Thankyou so much for growing this delightful tea!

No longer loose leaf, but is instead almost loose powder.

I've been purchasing these packs of green tea since 2020 but I cannot purchase it anymore. I thought I'd give it a try again after multiple other times with the same issue, but it has disappointed me again. I was assured by a representative in the past that this lack of actual loose leaves was temporary. While the taste is still great, there's no way that I can use what I've been getting in these packets in the stainless steel tea steeper/strainer that I bought from the actual store in person during a tour. It's not OK that I can no longer use a tool that I bought from them directly because the tea will now just goes through the holes. I miss when this used to be a packet of actual loose leaves and not just the equivalent cut as is used in crappy tea bags.
The taste is still amazing, but you need the equivalent of a coffee filter just to make it work, which is not at all appropriate.
